The education received at Nebraska has not come without sacrifice or dedication, but it does come with a world of opportunity.  It sets me up for lifelong success and is a major accomplishment on what I hope is a bright road ahead.

To me, graduating from UNL means graduating with much more than a bachelor's degree. It means graduating with irreplaceable experiences that have helped me grow immensely (study abroad and funding to do so, independent research opportunities, internships, large career fairs, etc).

5 years and 6 major changes later... I am FINALLY graduating from UNL with a bachelor of science in education & human sciences in nutrition and dietetics :-) It’s been such a long journey and I’ve met so many friends along the way! As this chapter ends, I’m even more excited for the next chapter to begin!! In the fall I’ll be in Omaha at University of Nebraska Medical Center starting my Medical Nutrition Therapy Program where I’ll be completing my internship and masters degree to be a Registered Dietitian! I am beyond excited for this next step in my life and what will come :-) Thank you to all my friends and family, especially my FIANCÉE (hehe) Alex for always keeping my spirits up and pushing me through these last couple years. Love y’all so much #gbr

You will be the reminder of the persistence of the soul and conscience of our time by the mere act of being engaged, being willing to ask questions, being open to breaking with the sway of the world, in finding out truth for yourself.

Graduating allows me to take the next steps in my professional development and pushes me towards my dream job.

I'd like to thank Samantha Kennelly for always believing in me. Your advice and encouragement has meant the world to me and helped me through some of my hardest days. You are a light in this world and my college experience wouldn't have been the same without you. Keep inspiring others and never change!

One of the best decisions I made at the university was to audition for the Cornhusker Marching Band, and I was fortunate to spend five seasons in the ensemble. I got to know so many people I wouldn't have met otherwise, and I experienced a lot of personal growth as a leader and a team collaborator.

Sweet new colors. A new degree. Offcially done. Forever.

The most transformational moments were at the Newman Center Catholic Church on campus. This provided me with a support system and a home away from home, which allowed me to thrive at Nebraska. Some of my fondest memories were here, and it helped me to grow into the man I am today!

I want to say thank you to all of the impactful professors I had both in the Animal Science department, but also in the Agricultural Economics department. There are so many that I had genuine connections with and that truly valued me as both a student and a person. Knowing that I could approach so many of them with any questions, concerns, or comments I had was incredibly reassuring. I came into college wondering if I would make any of those deep connections with staff and faculty at UNL, and thankfully, that's exactly what I did. I am so grateful for the incredible teaching staff I had the opportunity to grow and learn from. Thank you, UNL Animal Science, for providing me with a lifetime of memories, friendships, and knowledge.
