Tickets and Seating

Family, friends and other guests are cordially invited to attend UNL commencement and may sit in any non-reserved seats other than the main floor, which is set for the graduates, faculty, and dignitaries.

Tickets are not required for the ceremony.

Handicap seating for commencement guests is available in sections 106, 107, 110, 112, 114, 117 and 118 on the main concourse level of the Pinnacle Bank Arena, these areas are marked in blue on the map below.

Representatives from the American Red Cross are present at UNL commencement and are located on Level 3 at Gate 112. If you need additional assistance or have questions about seating, please see an Arena Usher.


Free event parking will be available in the Festival Space Public Parking Lot north of the arena. People parking in the Festival Lot may walk to the arena utilizing the connecting Pedestrian Bridge and will land at the northeast corner of the arena.

The drop off area is located on the South Side of Pinnacle Bank Arena (R Street)

City campus lots are free of charge and without permit for Commencement Parking on Saturday, May 10 only.

Direction to the Festival Space Public Parking

  • Take West "O" Street to Sun Valley Boulevard;
  • Take a right onto Sun Valley Boulevard and go north to Line Drive.
  • From Line Drive follow the signs to the Festival Space parking lot. 

Paid parking is available in City of Lincoln Public Parking Garages as well as the Pinnacle Bank Arena Garage.

Both commencements will be carried live on Lincoln Time Warner Cable Education Access Channel 80 (with cable box) or Channel 71.16 (TWC subscribers without cable box.)
